A cheap xbox? Is it worth it? (Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade)

Advantages: A good console for basic new generation gaming.

Disadvantages: No hard drive and upgrade costs make it expensive.

An xbox 360 - just.

Without the hard drive of the 360 and no HDMI cable you will be looking to upgrade this console at the first possible choice.

Buying this console is great for gaming if you dont want to make the most out of your Xbox. A 256MB memory card is included and will do as long as you dont download any games of Xbox Live or have too many games for the console.

No HDMI cable means you cant take full advantage of the 360s brilliant graphics, and can only use the scart which is included in the box.

No wireless internet capabilities means you have to fork out £60 on the wireless router or buy an ethernet cable and have a port available for the xbox. Not ideal.

The controller is fully wireless and works fine as a full controller however where is the headset? You dont get one which is poor, meaning another upgrade to be done to make your xbox as good as the next level up.

You can buy a set called the xobx 360 starer kit which includes a 60Gb hard drive, headset and xbox live points however this is £50 so combining this with the £130 you have paid for the Arcade console, you have spent £180 to have the exact same as you would get if you paid £160 for the next version up. Wheres the sense in that?

Game range is awesome for the xbox 360 so i can see why people may prefer the xbox 360 for simply gaming and inline set up is slightly better than playstation network however i think that for the full experience people should buy the Ps3 and this is why i can only give the Arcade Xbox 360 3stars.

Summary: Not worth £130
