A good console which can be picked up for a decent price XBOX 360 (Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade)

Advantages: Good value for money, looks quite trendy

Disadvantages: Could end up paying out a lot for internet etc....

In my opinion the XBOX 360 is a really good buy priced at around £200 if not less if your lucky, it's a console that you (or whoever you intend on purchasing one for) will get a lot of use out of. The arcade is the cheapest and it costs around £140.

My son and my brother both had one each for christmas last year and they have been used pretty much constantly!! The games can be quite expensive but you can find some good bargains in some shops and you'll find pre-owned games a lot cheaper, sometimes saving atleast £20 off the usual selling price!
They aren't that bad to look at either and do not look out of place under you TV.

I know with some XBOX 360 consoles you can get problems such as 'the red ring of death' but microsoft will usually sort this out for you if it's still under warranty (not sure if there is a cost) but this hasn't happened to anyone I know.
There is a huge varity of games available but some games are only available for different consoles and some are just for this one. There are also 3 different types of XBOX 360's I think - the arcade, the XBOX 360 and the ellite. Im not sure what the difference is but I think it is to do with the memory capacity?? You can purchase memory things for them though at additional costs that sit on top of the console (I think it's the hard drive) but it's the arcade version my boy has so not sure about the other 2 consoles.

The contollers are quite cool too, they are wireless and quite chunky but not so that they are uncomfortable to hold.
The graphics are quite good too and with some games it's like watching a movie on certain parts!!

You can connect the XBOX 360 up to the internet too so that a good bonus but the downfall is you have to pay unlike another top brand console. You also need XBOX live points to buy things online for your games or to get games and for other stuff too and this can work out quite costly.

Summary: Overall a good console at a great price
