Advantages: Great Quality Graphics. Games are lots of fun.

Disadvantages: Not Wi-Fi enabled. £13 per 3 months to play online, RUBBISH!

The X-box 360 is the mid price player of the next generation market. Wii is cheaper, Playstation 3 is more expensive. But why should you buy this (or one of the others). Well, I own all three so I'll tell you the pros & cons of the X-box 360.

Firstly, this is the Elite version of the console. It comes with a 120GB hard Drive & also has a HDMI port & a HDMI cable for much easier High Definition connectivity. Other than that though. It isn't that disimilar from the White ones. Although this will look better in a living room with an HD TV & Sky Box.

Games wise this competes directly with PS3. All the games that you can get on this you can get on the other console. To be fair, they tend to look & play the same on both consoles. The Wii however is a different entity. It does have some of the games from more powerful consoles. However these don't tend to look quite as good & can sometimes play differntly. Thing here is, you don't buy Wii for Streetfighter 3 or Call Of Duty. You buy it for the sports game that comes with it or Wii fit.

Here's where I have to pull fault with Microsoft's console. This is the Elite model right? It comes with a free microphone for online gaming. So why, when the PS3 & Wii are both Wi-fi enabled, do you have to fork out £50 for a wireless adapter for the Xbox. The Elite model should have this built in. Bit of a cheek with that. Also, Nintendo & Sony do not charge a subscription to play games online. Online gaming is really fun & I would recommend it. I can't recommend it however for the 360 because I've never played online with my Xbox. I don't intend to either. I'm not paying £50 for something that should be included or paying £13 every 3 months for a subscription for online play. If I want to play online. I'll by the game on PS3 & play online for free. Sort yourselves out Microsoft!

Over all it is a good console. If you want to play games in you home or with friends but not online, I would recommend this. If you got an extra £100 bearing in mind it comes with a Blu - Ray player & Wi-Fi enabled, gor for the PS3. Young children in your house. They'll probably like the Wii more than the other two. So, it's up to you.

Summary: Good console. But PS3 is better & worth the extra.

Dont agree with your vedict that the PS3 is better. I have the Xbox and my brother has the PS3 and in my opinion, the xbox has much more going for it. Good review anyway.

You might not be able to get all the games on other consoles. You can't get HALO for instance. But to be fair, you can't get Wii fit on Xbox can you. These things even themselves out. Fifa's, Pro Evo's, Harry Potter's available on all formats. Other comment, stable connection. I have played loads of online games on PSP, Nintendo DS & PS3. The connection has never gone on me, not once. I didn't have to pay £35 a year plus £40 for a network adapter to do it either. Considering they push themselves as a Online console. They really ought to take on some of the additional costs. Just like Sony & Nintendo do.
