The best online experience for gaming (Microsoft Xbox 360)

You can pick the XBox 360 up very cheaply now, either from a shop, or even cheaper online, or even even cheaper from ebay. Be aware that older models are good, but they may lack the HDMI port, worth noting if that is important to you.

My own experience of this console is that the games are awesome. The likes of Call of Duty 4 deliver stunning graphics and really awesome gameplay. The controller adds to the enjoyment and although in my opinion the Sony PS3 controller is comfier.

Online play on the Xbox 360 is called 'XBox Live' and although it costs, it is worth every penny. You can chat to friends, leave them messages, invite them into games, download demos, wow the list goes on. It is this service that the XBox 360 wins hands down. Due for a revamp at the end of the year it looks as though it'll be getting even better.

The only thing that lets the console down is the noise. The fans and the drive spinning up can be quite distracting at times. Microsoft plan to minimise this with their next update. The plan is that game content can be uploaded onto the consoles hard drive, to minimise the DVD-Rom drive spinning up so much. Sounds like a good idea... but surely making a quieter drive would be a good solution too.

Summary: Things just keep getting better and better for the XBox 360
