Advantages: Great Value for money

Disadvantages: Playstation 3 has better graphics

The xbox 360 is perfectly priced. It provides an undeniably good gaming experience and when compared with the Playstation 3 I think it provides far better value for money without a shadow of a doubt. The professional version is what I deem to be the greatest choice, especially now that it offers a 60gb hard drive, which is plenty of room to store all of your downloaded content and saved games. The graphics are admittedly not as good as the Playstation 3, meaning that there has been a reversal in graphic quality since the older generation where xbox came out on top. However this certainly does not mean that they are poor, especially with the use of HD they are then very comparable to that of the PS3. Xbox live is amazing! End of, it is easy to set up unlike the PS2 online system which was a nightmare and provides ultra longevity with the games as the competitive edge online means that you will not get bored of a game if you complete, the same goes for the achievements element in which you can explore your games in order to gain all possible achievements. Both mean you will get excellent value for money when you buy your games due to the hours and hours of enjoyment from them. However the £5 a month charge for xbox live is a downfall especially due to the free playstation online experience. Overall an excellent console and a massive step up from its predecessor, highly recommended if on a smaller budget.

Summary: Overall a very good purchase if you are not willing to shell out too much for a PS3
