Advantages: Fun, great price, Xbox live, wireless contollers, achievements, games, plays Cds, Dvds and Hddvds!

Disadvantages: Some people have problems, May waste your life!

I bought my Xbox when I saw a deal in HMV where I got the Xbox 60 GB pro version, Pro Evolution soccer 2009 (reviewed separately) and a Lego Indiana Jones (reviewed separately) and Kung Fu Panda bundle pack for £170 which I did not feel was bad and this is what tempted me to buy the Xbox. This brings me on to my next point.

The Xbox 360 is far cheaper than the Playstation 3 and is about the same price as the Nintendo Wii. The first thing I noticed when I put the Xbox on an HD TV was the brilliant graphics and how much improvement there was over the PS2.

Another thing I really like about the console is the wireless controller that comes with it free. It is much better having a wireless controller so you do not have to fall over wires and spend ages untangling them. The only downside to the controller is it uses up lots of batteries!

The games for this console are great and the achievements feature is brilliant and really makes you explore the games and get your money`s worth. There are many games and quite a few exclusive ones too like Halo 3.

Then I move on to another point the online play. All you have to do is set up an Xbox Live account and buy a Gold subscription and you can play games. When you buy the console it comes with a free trial of Gold as well. It is really fun playing online and makes most games last a lot longer and considering the Gold subscription is the price of a decent game it is well worth getting.

Another brilliant feature is you know longer need those rip off memory cards as the Xbox has a large memory for game saves and demos (unless you buy the Arcade version which would be stupid!!!)

The Xbox also lets you store music to the hard drive and now put games on the hard drive which makes them quieter and have a quicker loading time. The console also plays DVDS and HDDVDS but it is very noisy while doing so.

Some Xbox 360`s have lots of problems like the RED RING OF DEATH (RROD) but don`t worry because the console has a 3 year warranty against these problems.

There are 3 different models Arcade (has very little memory) Pro (60GB and in my opinion best value) and Elite (which is black and has a 120GB hard drive)

If you want to upgrade the next generation of gaming and play all the latest and greatest games buy an Xbox 360. If you want a family or secondary console buy a Wii (I have reviewed this separately) or if you want a multimedia machine that plays Blue-rays (is that how they are spelt) get a Playstation 3.

If you are a serious gamer get an Xbox 360 and you won`t be disappointed!

Thanks for reading and rating!

Summary: If you are a serious gamer and don`t want a multimedia machine buy it!
