Advantages: game variety
Disadvantages: pricey
The X-Box 360 is the newest console created by Microsoft, and it is safe to say that it is a vast improvement on the previous X-Box console. Microsoft have finally past the "feeling the market" stage, and this console is one they can certainly be proud of.
Look:
Both the machine and the controller look very sleek, crisp and clean. The controller is by far the most comfortable to hold of any console ever. It just fits perfectly into the hand.
Graphics:
No complaints whatsoever, it may be just slightly less powerful than the PS3, but its barely even noticeable. The games look very real, and very polished.
Games:
The 360 has a great variety of games, and is superior to other consoles in terms of exclusive games. With games such as 'Gears of War', and 'Halo', the 360 rules the games roost.
Online play:
Much has been made of 360 owners having to pay a subscription fee for online play, with PS3 owners using this as a major reason as to why the "PS3 is better" whereas infact, I think it is worth every single penny. I have played online on both the 360 and the PS3, and the 360 is far superior, with minimal lagging and far more people to play. It has many features. One can look at trailers for new games, play demos for new releases and also one can set up your own little community of friends, that you can chat and play online with.
Verdict:
In my opinion, if you want to purchase a console, this is the only way to go. Its superior in every way, and worth every penny.
Summary: wonderful

- 12/02/09 How does it compare to the Wii though? And what about the three red rings of death? |

- 12/02/09 I have the xbox 360 elite and I love it, I had the choice of that or ps3, played with both and the 360 is so much better value for money.. Xbox live is also pretty flawless, if there are any problems it tends to be games that are varied platform, such a COD5, being able to get under the map makes online slightly difficult.. For £40 a year I'm happy to pay for a fab online service!! |
