Advantages: see below

Disadvantages: none that i know of

In this opinion I have included various sections to let you know about the X-box.

Design: Although it looks like an enormous VCR you’d hide away under your TV, apparently a lot of thought went into the design of the X-box. The green gem on the top of the box is apparently green because it was the only colour pen the designer had when it came to it.

Size: At 335 X 275 X 85mm, the X-box is almost twice the size as the PS2. It’s packed inside with an inbuilt hard drive and a fan four times the size of the one in the dreamcast to ensure that it will never overheat no matter how long you play on it.

DVD: All of the X-box’s launch titles will appear on DVD. The only medium with enough memory to store the data needed to power its visually astonishing games. It is also able to play DVDs but a separate remote has to be bought.

Online: The X-box is the only console to come broadband-ready out of the box. Although many people will not have broadband connection in their home when it releases in spring next year.

Hard drive: The 10GB will initially be used to save games but it’ll also enable developers to create more realistic environments. So if you shoot someone dead they will still be dead on the floor when you turn the console back on.

Controller: Like the machine itself, the controller is enormous. A bit of getting used to will be needed.

Memory card: Although the console has a hard drive of its own to save games the pad has two slots for memory cards so you can transfer data from one machine to another.

Processor: The CP weighs in at 733MHz, more than twice the speed of the Playstation 2.

I wouldn't need to know too much about the processor (unless you think I'll need to replace it sometime) or what handset they have in Asia, but I would like to know how it compares with the PS2 from a user's unbiased viewpoint. What games are available already? How much support is this machine likely to have for games titles and add-ons etc? At the moment, its a bit too like a summary of the specs read from a magazine. I want a bit of the info that only a user can give, you know? Hope that's helpful to allowing you to improve this opinion and its ratings if you want to. - TK

Sorry about the SU. I don?t think there is enough information to gain a VU. You could talk a little more about the different features i.e. NVIDIA graphics processing unit. And did you know that they have 2 different controllers, one for America/Europe and another for Asia. You could talk about them, why two controllers? Thinking about it, it is hard to talk about a console, that many people have not played on, and had the experience of.
If you do decide to add a little more, message me and I will happily re-read it.
