The X-box was released on 14/04/02. A major date in gaming history. The first games console to be released with a hard-drive and ethernet port built in. A 733mhz processor with Nvidia graphics card, 8Gb Hard-drive, 4 controller ports and being backed by microsoft, who's owner is the richest man in the world.

That's all you need to know. oh yeah, as well as outstanding graphics, lightning fast frame-rates and developers queing up to produce games for this system. Great, you thought. Then you look at the price tag £299. Ok, too much. it's alot of money to pay that much for the actual console but then you've got to pay £45 for the games.

Microsoft have now announced that their console will drop to a mere £199. Excellent for those that yet have to purchase Microsofts baby. Bad news for those who have already bought one??
NO, those who have already bought one will get 2 games and a controller free of charge. Brilliant news.
