Advantages: Graphics to rival the best, ummm, hmmmmm

Disadvantages: Too big, Too pricy, Too big

OK, so we know that Americans like things big, but this is taking the p*ss!!! You can get PC's which are smaller than this machine!

OK so the graphics are amazing in most of the games, some are very unique and they are very addictive, however this doesn't make up for the price and the size either!

So they have dropped the price, wow! It shouldn't have been over £200 anyway. As far as i am concerned, if i have to pay over that amount for a console then i might as well pay a little more and get a PC!

Throw in DVD capabilities and being able to play your tunes whilst playing a game, wooo! If i want to play DVD's i'll use my DVD player, if i want to play tunes, i'll use my stereo!!!

Surely M*crosoft could have thought about this a bit more and cut down on the size of it??

Getting on to the games. Surely if you have to spend over £200 for a console that is supposed to be the best on the market then you would expect the games not to crash!!! I have experienced several of my games crashing during the loading of levels, and so have several of my friends. And it's not even the same games that do it, it seems to be completely random. It may only be once or twice a day that this happens but surely it shouldn't happen at all!?!

All of my thoughts on the Xbox make me come to the conclusion, just like another user's opinion, and that is that it is too much like a PC. The games play and crash like a PC's do. The majority of the games just seem to play like a PC's do(you have to have experience PC game play and Xbox game play to be able to know what i mean on this!!!) and the size is too similar to a PC's too!

Blimey! I nearly forgot the controller!!! How could i forget that monster!?! The overall impression of the controller is a reasonable one, the button lay out is pretty good, however what seriously lets it down is the size!!! I mean "COME ON MICROS
OFT" if you have done your home work you'd know that consolde user's don't have the hand size of king kongs! Like i have said on my Gamecube opinion, i can usually play a console for about 2-3 hours or so and i have to stop from hand ache's(although this hasn't happened yet from the GC controller, because it is so pukka!!) but with the Xbox's controller i am lucky to be able to play for 1 hour without having to stop and give me ickle pegs a stretch! Like i said, the overall shape of the pad is ok but the size just makes it soo not good!

Anyway, thats that, if you'd like something that is closer to the size of your car then your tv, then get this! If you like something that would put more of a dent in your wallet than a car would too, then get this! If you have basketball player sized hands, then get this, however if you want something that you could take round your mates in your rucksack and still have room for your Doritos and snickers bars then get a Gamecube, far smaller, far better, far cheaper too!!!

Xbox comes with Ethernet broadband connection and it shouldn't be long before most homes in the UK start using it. Really, I'm surprised you didn't know. It strikes me you have been only listening to things you want to hear about Xbox.

I've heard other people speaking of this crashing.

Broadb and? Didn't know you could get that for X-Box. Plus it's not very available throughout the UK. I think you did well in giving your opinion on the current state of the X-Box

I agree with you about the handsets, but I also agree with Mavis_riley about the crashing - I've had my Xbox since the week it was released and it hasn't crashed once. I'd say complain and ask for it to be replaced if this is happening to you.
