The Xbox

Now I suppose I had that I had the choice of a Xbox or a PS2, hmmm a computer with 733 MHz or a computer with just over 200 but I also suppose MHz isn?t every thing. The built modem also helped my decision and the brilliant graphics, but what really tipped the scale towards the xbox was the thought that I could copy music onto it and play the tracks whilst playing the games.

So I have bought the Xbox, what do I do now? Well I could state at it for a while, yes that doesn?t sound to bad, I mean what a eye pleasing machine. Having had the machine in the house for a few minutes at realizing I haven?t actually plugged it in yet I starting put the parts together. The lead to the TV is quite different to the Playstation one as it has 3 leads going into a scart connection, I finally got the machine running and waited for the screen to come up. Mear seconds I waited and isn?t it worth it. What an amazing machine, I got Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT 2002 free with the Xbox so I played the Sega racing game first. I have reviewed the Sega game already and I think you should read it because if I were to say how good it was I would be writing for ages.

The Xbox comes with a DVD player and this is were the Xbox fails in my view, firstly you have to buy a DVD kit which I have also reviewed and that sends you back up to 20 pounds. Thinking I have paid extra money and that the DVD player must have a really good picture I was unpleasantly surprised when I found the picture quality was poor. Annoying lines often came down the screen, well only at close inspection but that makes me think where?s the Tapes and that thing called the Video Player.

The Xbox as I previously said comes with a function that allows you to copy music onto the xbox and play it at a later date even when there is another game disc in the CD drive. This function is brilliant for me as I am amazingly keen on music, a lot of game allow you to play the music in contrast
to the games SFX.

There are hundreds of games out for the xbox so far and not just the ones you see in the Argos catalog as I recommend going on xbox.com, as there is a list of the many games for the machine. A lot of people think there are a lot more games for the PS2 and that is not right if I?m not wrong, the PS2 is overly hyped up and falsely to.

The xbox controller is notably large but after playing with it for 10 minutes you realize why, there are loads to but bluntly, of buttons and analog sticks. The controller is really easy to use and it is very comfortable to use.

The graphics on the Xbox far out class graphics I have seen before in no I am lying I have seen graphics like that on PCs but very good ones. In the childish long view of the machine it is better than the PS2 so there.
