Late to the XBox experience, I have always been a Sony fan (since the N64 anyway). I loved my PS2, had offers to trade it at GAME but refused. Anyway, I made it to the XBox, after seeing Ghost Recon in action. Since then, my PS2 has made a useful wedge between the bookcase and the TV. Every, and I mean every game of the eight i have bought over the last 2 months has been a cracker. By all accounts, this is just the beginning. And "live" starts in a fortnight. I would never become critical of the PS2 or Sony as they have brought me many happy hours of gaming, however somebody in the Bill Gates camp got it right. Annoying that, as i thought i saw the back of him in my home since getting an iMac (the only thing to make the XBox look pants). Graphics on the XBox are in a different league, not comparable. Same with the sound. The hard drive completely change thing, both with the added dimension they bring to games and being able to rip and play your own music. I have owned nearly all consoles and now having the money i never had as a kid and being able to buy games as and when, i feel the XBox was worth its original price when released. At £200 with four games is a deal, its a steal, its sale of the f'ing century. Get one. Oh, and dump your PC and get an iMac as well! Summary: |
