Well no the Xbox console hasnt been banned but it should be since a new model has been released and everyone should get one since it surpasses the original in style.

Ever since Microsoft threw their hat into the games console ring, there's been madness. Each competitor trying to undercut the other to the point of making huge losses on each machine sold, hoping to make it up in software revenue; the online battle kickstarted by an aggressive all-in-one package; the Rock playing videogames...it's all kicked off! So, it should come as no suprise that Microsoft recently dropped the Xbox's price once again.

The consumer's needs have been pandered to every step of the way. They've ensured plenty of third party support , and have taken criticisms on board with regards to both the design and controller...so what better way to exhibit your user-friendliness than with a limited edition translucent green Xbox, complete with TWO smaller translucent green controllers, all for the ridiculous price of £149.99...less than a PS2!!

The Xbox was the butt of many jokes. Not even the most die-hard MS fan could deny - the thing was huge! Of course, that was mainly down to the huge processor and hard drive already built in to the console to make sure its hardware obliterated the rest of the competition, but trivial matters won't get a good argumentative so-and-so down. It may not be smaller, but this 'limited edition' certainly is smarter. It's no longer an unsightly big black box covered in a huge snot stain of a logo; it is now smart, cool, sassy. See-through sells, no matter what the appliance is. PC towers, Gameboys, calculators...it's a pretty sight to see all that metal clicking and whirring whilst you're playing, and this is no exception. Score one for design.

Of course, having a special edition console means nothing unless you have the matching peripherals, and ol' Gates doesn't disappoint. The

old Xbox controller was just so much bigger than anything we'd ever seen before, nobody could handle it. Realistically it's an OK size, but once you've tried the official all-new redesigned Controller S, you'll never want to go back. I was always an advocate of the old control pads - they made you feel like a real man when you held it - but these are far cooler, especially when green and see-through. The triggers are in the same place, but the buttons have been shifted from the strange diamond back to the more conventional four corners of a square. The start and select buttons are tucked out of the way on the far left, and although the buttons are slightly smaller, this only serves to help our mere mortal thumbs circumnavigate for switching on flashlights, casting spells or opening a door.

These days, if you want all the good games you'll need all three consoles, and there's been no better time to be a buyer. Sure, you could be cheap and get the normal Xbox, but for an extra few bob you get something that looks oh-so-cooler, not to mention one more controller. So go on. Treat yourself. Indulge in the kryptonite glow that is the new special edition Xbox!

The new X-Box looks pretty cool, but it is still way too big. Cool op!

Well yes good, but what about its capabilities, and the games, instead of just the new model, have you heard about the new PS2 (PSX), DVD-RW, Hard Disc, loads other stuff, entire hme integrated system in a lovely silver shiney box!
