This was bought for my son for a birthday present last year, The Nintendo DS Lite is a hand held games console, I paid £109 in Virgin megastores for the DS console, accessory kit and the game that came with it was Cars.

The accessory kit

The accessory kit included a case, two extra styluses, a travel battery recharger, two protective game cases for when your out and about and a set of ear phones.

I was not sure if he would be impressed with it or not (as he can be hard to please sometimes, like most kids these days) but as it turned out he was over the moon and I must add so was I , as I to, enjoy playing it.

Playing the games

The Nintendo DS Lite is very easy to use, all you need to do is insert your game into the game slot provided, which is situated at the top of the console (with the power on) and on your screen the name of the game will appear, you touch this with your stylus and your game will start.

Playing the Game boy Advance games on your DS lite

Another good point is that you can play the game boy advance games on it as well, my daughter has a GBA and they sure some their games which is really handy. The nintendo ds lite is really small and easy to use, you can either use the keys at the side or you can use the stylus, either way is good,

How to use Game boy advance games on the DS lite

Again this is easy to do, at the bottom of the console there is a wee drawer which slides out and you pop your Game Boy Advance game into the slot provided and the name off the game will appear on your screen, touch this with your stylus and the game will begin.

Sending messages

Also if you have two DS lites in the one household you can send messages from one to the other, this is also really easy to do, in the main screen menu, you will see a symbol saying pictochat all you do is touch this then there is a chose of 5 chat rooms to enter, chose which one of them then your off

Multi play

You can also play with your friends through multiplay, which I have not figured out yet as there is only one DS in my house at the minute, although my daughter is getting one for christmas, so hopefully I will get use of multiplayer then.

Taking your DS lite with you

As the DS lite is so small and dainty it is easy to take with you, which if you have kids its really handy especially when you are going to visit family and friends. (It really keeps them occupied for hours). there is a good selection off games that would suit everyone.

One thing I have noticed is that the Nintendo ds lite seems to have the best selection of games for girls, compared to the other games consoles out there, well in my opinion anyway !.

I would really recommend this game, well worth it. I cant think off any bad points about the DS lite, in my opinion its great.
