The DS lite, of which I was a little annoyed about, as after I bought my standard DS the lite came out.

The lite is a lot slimmer and comes in a lot more colours. The pen is also much fatter and easier to hold. The mic is also in the centre of the DS rather than the bottom left like in the old DS. The volume control is also a little bigger and easier to control.

I think the screen is a lot better, as it has more colour and more contrast giving a much better picture, the touch screen also gives the use an easier view of what they press and can also be seen better out doors with the sun light.

The lite is a great step up from the old DS and is well worth it with a very similar price, altho maybe Nintendo staggered these two purposely for the money people would pay to upgrade.

The GBA slot is a bit of a pain tho as the GBA games stick out, but as I don't use them it's no problem for me.

The structure: is also lots better as my old DS broke the the joint of the touch screen to the main screen, with the lite there are no big joints and is a lot stronger.

Summary: Great upgade from Old DS
