Advantages: choice of colour, small, very entertaining, wireless connection

Disadvantages: pen can get lost, cartridges get lost too

I have had my nintendo DS for a few years now and it has done me very well. I find it is a great little system when you want to have a quick non serious game. It is at its best when you play games over the built in wireless connection. Games like mario kart are extremely fun, and can keep you entertained for ages when away from home, or together with friends. I bought two more nintendo DS lites for the kids, so we could play together and they love them. They are more kids consoles that anything else, as you can see from the available games.

Most of the graphics in the games leave a lot to be desired, though the games tend to have mroe of a fun style that keeps you playing, and allow the blocks graphics off the hook. For better graphics i would look at a PSP but for entertainment value, and a cheap price tag you cant go wrong with one of these.

With the new release of the DSi i can only assume that prices on the DS lites will drop making them more of a bargain! You can also add some functionallity with a DS card which in the case of my EDGE card allows you to watch video and listen to MP3s.

Summary: excellent for the price
