Despite the recent release of the DSi, I believe that the DS lite has much to offer the casual gamer, and should be seen as a very versatile and entertaining product for all ages.As an earning and technology savvy teenager, I already own a digital camera and MP3 player, so the updates on the new DSi model are of little use, at least until Nintendo develop games more based on these new additions.
Personally I prefer the shiny exterior of the DS lite, and the console fits perfectly in ones hands whilst on the go. Games available are wide ranging, Imagine... products aimed at the under 5's, Brain Training etc. more at the retired market. The console's battery life is exemplary, the screen provides great graphics, light and colour, and the sound is also more than adequate. I much prefer the stylus control to the DS lite's rival, the PSP's controls which rely entirely on controller'esque buttons.
Quite simply, this product is fantastic value for money, games are also reasonably priced, and it provides endless enjoyment.

Summary: Awesome handheld console
