Advantages: handheld, plenty of games available!

Disadvantages: Stylus is easy to loose! (maybe thats just me though)

This Nintendo DS Lite was bought for my little boy by his nanny for christmas last year. My eldest had the original DS and the DS Lite in my opinion is 100% better.

It's got a nice sleek design and the outer glossy shell makes it very attractive.
The good thing about the DS Lite is the fact you can play the old Gameboy Advance games in it. You can usually pick these up for around £5/£6 which is alot cheaper than the price of DS Lite games, which is OK for building up your game collection.

The DS Lite has many games though so your not restricted to just a few.

I think the most attractive feature, which make the DS Lite so popular is the touch screen and stylus. This means you can interact with games alot more than usual. It also has wi-fi, which enables you to chat to others around you in the chat rooms which are built into the DS Lite. You can also share games with people to enable you to play multi-player games!

It's not cheap, about £100 but you can pick up pre-owned consoles for around £65-£70 from game shops. Maybe cheaper again in local freeads or internet auction sites. But you will get your use out of it even if you only have the Brain Training game for example as you will be using it everyday.

The console seems quite durable, my children are 2yrs, 5yrs and 8yrs and we haven't had it break yet!!

There are quite a few accessories available for the DS Lite too, such as novelty stylus', cases, new shells etc.

Summary: I like it, the kids like it. Well worth the money to keep the whole family entertained!
