The perfect console (Nintendo DS Lite)

I bought a Nintendo DS for my mother 3 years ago as I was unsure what to get her for Christmas - and wow what a good choice it was! I ended up buying myself one a few weeks later! The range of games for this console is the best bit of this console for me - there are adventure games, puzzle games, action games, long games, short games! I could go on! I love puzzles and sudoku so this console is perfect for me, but I also like a little bit of games like shoot the dead, zelda and mario kart - I can have all those games in one place for one console. I think the size of the console is great, it fits nicely in the hand. It doesn't weigh too much when carrying it around in a handbag. I like that it opens up with the two screens inside as it stops them getting scratched. I also like the way if you close the console whilst playing a game it automatically pauses it. The two player and wireless options are very goos too. I have regularly played two player games, and the connection is never interrupted - and its great there are no wires needed to connect the consoles. I have played a couple of times using a WIFI connection, although this isn't really my thing - but it was easy to set up and playing games with others over the internet worked fine. My DS is in perfect condition still after 3 years, I thought I may have trouble with my touch screen after excessive use, but no - it works great. The hinge on my mum's got very loose but she took hers everywhere and used it heavily - it still works fine, its just a bit wobbly! I cannot recommend this console highly enough to gamers or those who thought they would never pick up a console and all those inbetween! I do not think DSi brings anything useful that the DS Lite doesn't so if you can't decide get the cheaper, just as good DS!
