The DS lite is a portable console that you buy games to play on it.

The console has a pen that pulls out from the bottom which enables you touch the bottom screen. The top screen cannot be touched you just see whats happening in the game on that screen e.g. score etc. The pen is handy because your fingers don't work on the touch screen.although I did lose them alot because I always forgot to put them back in the slot.

adventure
simulation
action
racing
brain games etc

I enjoy playing brain games as I get really into them. Cooking Mama is a good game to play it teaches you to cook and I get really into it as its fun making dishes from all over. The Imagine Collection of games is good because it allows you to imagine what it would be like doing different careers.

This console is not only for children adults can use it to. you can organise you day to day routine on this portable console.

You can get this console between 90 to 140 pound. it all depends on weather you want it first hand or second.
The battery life is pretty good it last about 8 to 10 hours. the ds lite is easy to set up. All you have to is switch it on put in your name, date, gender, age etc then it will all be set up for you. you put the game in then your ready to play.

Games for this console vary because you can get games for as little as 5 pound but some games cost as much as 30-40 pound. This is a disadvantage because games can add up if you like playing.

The DSlite also enables you to play Gameboy Advance games. They fit in the big socket at the front of the console. I have a bugs bunny game that I had on Game boy advanced that I used to play on my DS it works just as good although the game sticks out alot a the front which can be annoying.
