I have owned my Nintendo DS Lite for about 5 years now and i have loved every minute of it. The console is still in perfect working order with the touchscreen working great and the top screen having good quality graphics. I find that it looks very good and stylish with a sleek flip style making it extremely light and portable. I have now taken my DS on holiday abroad and it has faired well with no damage bein taken to it. However, there is the slight problem of using it in the sun. I would advise against this as it is near impossible to see the screens and so makes playing near impossible. Apart from this, i have found that playing on the DS is a great experience with a huge range of games that incorporate the touchscreen into the gameplay. The touchscreen is a great extra feature with the stylus that is very easy to hold and small enough to slip inside the DS. However, you must be careful as it can be very easy to lose this which brings the hassle of having to buy new ones. The upside to this is that you can also use your fingers on the touchscreen. It is very easy to navigate around by just slotting the game into the back and starting it up. There is also the option to put headphones in if you dont want to disturb people around you and a microphone which is great for games like nintendogs. The battery life is also very good, allowing hours of gameplay and standby time. There is also an added feature of pictochat where you can use the bluetooth to connect with other people on their DS and use the stylus to write to them and send messages. I find this to be a great feature, especially for little children who love the feeling of talking to someone through the DS. It can keep a child entertained for hours.
