I bought one for my son two years ago and he loves it. They are now available in a variety of different colours including: black, white, green, red, blue and pink.

The ds has two game slots, one is for the DS games and the other is for the game boy advance. Although this is a good option as the Game Boy games are cheaper it only plays them on one screen and I find that the quality is not as good.

The Ds has wi fi connection which allows you to connect wirelessly to chat with your friends while playing games.

The battery life is very good and I would say that you can get approx 20 hours use out of it.

The DS has two screens, the lower one being a touch screen. There is a styless pen on the back of it to be used with this. I would recommend screen protectors as they do scratch quite quickly.

You can connect your DS with friends to play multi player games. Only one of you needs to have the game but you can both play on it. This is really good as my son always seems to want the games that his friends have got so it is nice that he can still play on them now and again.

Prices vary but are approx £100. They have recentley come down due to the release of the DSi.

I would recommend these for any parent to buy for their children. There are hundreds of games available and they have a wide range of educational games.

My son seems to play on his most when he is in the car, it keeps him occupied and leaves me to concentrate of the driving.
