I have had this console for a few months now and since then I haven't put it down. Firstly the best upgrade is the fact that there are now two cameras included. There are different types of effects which can be applied to the pictures taken which keeps children entertained. There are two 0.3 mega pixel cameras. The second improvement is that even though the original DS did have a microphone only a few games actually utilized it such as Mario Kart DS however this time there is a program called Nintendo DSi sound which records voices, and once again like the DSi camera function, can edit the voice which is surprisingly funny at times although it may be considered a novelty. There is also the inclusion of the Nintendo Shop channel which lets you buy various applications for the DSi itself. Till Janurary 2010 Nintendo are also running a promotion which gives the buyer of a new DSi 1000 points to spend at the store. With my 1000 points I bought Warioware Snapped, Pyoro and Paper Planes which is pretty good considering that 1000 points are worth £8 in the store. Overall this is a big improvement over the DS but don't forget to buy an SD card as the internal memory isn't very big.
