Disadvantages: Wires on controllers short, Not many great games

The Gamecube has many features, it looks good, has quite a lot of games that you can buy and play, loads of them that are not on any other console like Pokemon Coliseum, and Pikemin. You can buy the GameCube cheap now, which is really good. It is able to have four controllers, as it has four sockets. I share this console with my brother, like the Playstation 2. We own, Super Smash Bros Melee, which is a Nintendo burly brawl game, you can be Pikachu, or Mario, any of them. Then we have Zelda Wind Waker, which is the newest Zelda game, it came with Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Master Quest, these two other games are old Zelda games, they are both the same, but Master Quest is harder, that’s all. Wind Waker is yet another new story of the Zelda franchise. Then we have Sonic Adventure, which was originally released on the Dreamcast, but the made a special edition one for the Gamecube.

We have more games, but i'm not going to talk about them. The controllers are easy to use, not too big, and not too small, just the right size. The graphics capability is great, it is cartoony graphics, better then the Playstation 2, as the Playstation 2 is only 128 BIT, and the Gamecube is 256 BIT. The sound of the console is also great, you can even hear it much which is good, and it is not loud like the XBOX. Definitely an advantage. The console is very easy to use, you have three buttons, one is to open the CD ROM cover, the next one is to reset the machine, and the third one is to turn the console on. You have memory cards for this console, as it does not have a processor.

You can get the Gamecube in two different colours, you can have it in regular purple, or have it as jet black, depending what you fancy. The Instruction Manual was very handy, it tells you how to install the Gamecube, and everything else like what features, how to use it. You will have some support phone numbers and websites on the back of the manual, just in case you need help on what you are doing, or some additional feedback. You have a scart lead and a plug, all you have to do it plug them in, and then you are ready to play your Gamecube console.

There are no features really, you can’t listen to music as it is mini disc, you can’t really play DVD's on a mini disc, but I’ve heard that it will be internet compatible. That’s the shame about the Gamecube, but it does have some great games, like, Pikmin, Pokemon Coliseum, 007 James Bond games, and lots lots lots more. There is one feature that you can get, you can buy a Game Boy Advance hooker, which enables you to play your Game Boy Advance using the big TV, which is much better then the tiny screen that you have on your Game Boy Advance of SP. This costs around £30 - £80 I think, if any worry’s check out www.game.net, and they will have what you need.

The Gamecube console costs around £80 - £140, depending where you get it from, it is worth your money, especially compared to Playstation 2 £100 - £140 and XBOX £100 - £160, so the Gamecube is good value, in my point of view anyways. The games cost around £20 - £40, and £5 - £40 from Game Station. Very good value, the only problem with Game Station is that it is Pre-Owned games, if you don’t mind getting those type of games, then you have no worry’s, have have not had any problems, and you get 28 days warranty.

In my opinion, I think this console deserves a 3 star, it has good games, I like the console, but only 3 star because it don’t have many features, and that’s probably it, because I love the games for it, now you can get them on some other consoles depending on what games they are.
