Advantages: Some good games

Disadvantages: Beginning top look dated

Games are too expensive (down side of cartridges), graphics are looking dated. There are only a select core of dedicated developers who produce decent games (which are all beginning to look the same anyway), further more their progress is being stifled by the stringent contracts they have signed mith Nintendo, and Nintendo's maniacal desire to control all thier developers (hence the recent departure of most of the Rare team to form thier own company).

I have to admit that although there is only a limited number of games which are worth playeing on the N64m the ones which are playing are very very good, but there doesn't seem to be any further decent new releases.

Are nintendo leaving it too long before they rlease thier next generation console? Is it even worth bying a consol when the prices of PCs are falling, you have a platform which has uses beyond just games playing, and for which you can download free games (for credits) from the internet?
