Nintendo 64 is the worst games machine I have played on, and is definitely a failure, never has lived up to my expectations and has sat behind my Commodore 64 and Sega Mega Drive for a few years now – why? Because of the lack of games for it! I don’t really like shooting games all the time, and so Golden Eye is not for me, neither is Perfect Dark – shame really seeing as these are meant to be the best two games on the console! The N64 is cheap and nasty in my belief, with horribly designed controllers, a tacky plastic finish and around 100 games available for it, which isn’t anywhere near enough!

I’m going to sell this N64 now because I don’t appreciate a lack of games for it. The best one is Zelda, but there were no seriously amazing football games or fighting games or even racing games – everything was aimed at children I think, with Pokemon and Mario being the two games that caused the most hype. It cost me £129.99 when new, and I feel I have wasted my money. I will continue to hunt for retro Mega Drive games I think!

The N64 is about to be replaced by a console from Nintendo called the Game Cube – I hope for their sake that it is a lot better than the N64 and is aimed at an older audience as well as for children. A mix like the PSX was.

£79.99 new still is the Nintendo 64. Get a super Nintendo if you have to have a Nintendo machine!
