Advantages: great console, cheap console

Disadvantages: Not enough availability of games!, games too expensive!

OK, so the N64 is a good, cheap console, but don't you think the price of the games is ripping us off? I mean, even the PS2 games are cheaper than the N64! I recently bought a N64, luckily it had many games with it, (mainly because it was second hand), but it was extremely cheap. It was £50 for the N64 and 5 games!

I only bought this console to keep me going until a good new PS2 game comes out. I've recently been playing on Golden eye. Golden eye is a classic N64 game, as well as Zelda. It is mission type game where you go around completing levels and missions, to get cheats like invisibility and the Golden Gun. I think this game is the best game I have got, probably because I've seen almost all the 007 films! I'm having a little trouble with the last level; so if you can tell me how to get past it, leave it on the commentaries, please?

I also got The Legend of Zelda with the N64 but I haven't played that much because it really the kind of game that I like. As far as I know you are a little boy in this world of monsters and gargoyles which try to kill you! You have to complete levels and defeat boss' to win new clothing and weapons, which get the stats of your little kid up. I really think that The Legend of Zelda is a cheaper N64 version of the Final Fantasy series. (I think the Playstation version, Final Fantasy, is better). The Legend of Zelda is the only game I’ve got on the N64 that has a better version on the Playstation.

I got Mario racing on the N64 too; it’s the 3rd best game I got with the N64. It's kind of like SSX on the PS2, but a kiddie’s version in karts. You have to win races on different levels to complete the game. I think it's got excellent speed and graphics for an old N64 game based on kids? Don't you? It's probably not the most addictive game on the N64, but I think that it's a good game whilst it lasts.

I also got two of relativ
ely new games; the first of which I'm going to talk about is No Mercy. This is one of those games you would order from Electronics Boutique months in advance for, (and then wait in the queue for hours for)! This game, as you have probably already guessed, is a wrestling game. You have to wrestle a number of matches to get a title. You have to wrestle through seasons, which can get a bit repetitive. All in all this game is a lot like the Smack Down's on the Playstation, but I personally think that No Mercy is twice as good as the Smack Downs on the Playstation.

The second of the relatively new games is Perfect Dark. I have limited knowledge on this because the person I bought the N64 off only gave me the case! But don’t worry I’m getting it back on Sunday. All I know about this game is what I’ve been told by my N64 loving friends, it’s good. Yep they have a huge vocabulary don’t they! All they told me was the only way to know it’s greatness is to play it, in other words they wanted to make me wait in suspense. I can’t wait to get it, and as soon as I do I shall upgrade this opinion.

I think the N64 is an excellent console, and not to mention how cheap it is, but the games are too expensive. All in all, I think that the Playstation is the best console followed closely by N64. The only reason I say this is because the N64’s games are twice as expensive. I recommend the N64 to anyone, but I also recommend that you buy it second hand with lots of games with it.

Thanks for listening,
Sd01.

A good opinion although the N64 is kind of past it don't you think?
