This was Nintendo's idea, why not only bring out good games for a system and reject the crap, and what a good idea. Not only will it mean that every game is good but it will force developers to think a bit more before coding a load of rubbish.

But unfortunately this lead to some problems, first there were just not enough game coming out to keep the hardcore gamers happy, so the threshold of a good game dropped and rubbish started appearing.

Also some of the most commercial games are not very good but sell well and if Nintendo did not have these big name titles the money was not there.

This lead to some rubbish games appearing and the plan of good games only, disappearing.

Despite that the N64 has some of the best games ever made.

Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Mario 64
Mario Cart 64
1080 Snowboarding
Zelda 64
Banjo-Kazooie
Donkey Kong 64

And with a line up like that how can you not agree that Nintendo has done a good job with the N64.

All in all a great console with the best back catalogue around and if you can find one cheap buy it, Perfect Dark and an expansion pack NOW for endless hours of single and multiplayer fun.
