Advantages: Great multiplayer , several great games

Disadvantages: Less games than PSX, games more expensive also

The N64 has been on the market since 1996 (I think) and ever since its beginning it has been repeatedly accused of being a children's platform - one that can not match the Playstation for adult entertainment. Of course I have noticed that Nintendo are a lot stricter when releasing games with adult material but this does not necessarily mean that the game is any less enjoyable to play - games are about playability and lastability, plain and simple. Other factors such as graphics and sound are also important but to a lesser extent. Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Zelda, Shadowman, Res Evil 2 (which is better than the PSX version) are several excellent examples show that the N64 has the potential to satisfy gamers of all ages.
I do agree that there too many kiddish games but now that the console is so cheap it doesn't matter if you only ever purchase half a dozen games for it and believe me there are a lot of good games to choose from that are worth your money.
I have a PSX and an N64 but when friends come round we are always playing on the latter because in general we think that the multiplayer quality of the N64 is in a different league to the PSX's. Sure the N64 can't match the PSX for sheer quantity of games and the PSX does have loads of excellent titles but that does not mean that the N64 should be ignored.
