Well...what can I say, this entertained me for a while but then, when I completed all my games and there were no more decent games out on the market, my N64 took up it's new job of collecting dust! At first when it came out, the only raved about game for it was Goldeneye. Since then there hasn't been any decent fighting games and in my ... Read the complete review

The Nintendo 64 is a firm favourite of mine amongst all the consoles that are currently available, despite being a little dated now following the launch of more powerful machines. Being a cartridge based machine rather then CD, the games can cope with a lot of handling from your young ones far better than CDs which scratch easily. The ... Read the complete review

Having just purchased this game for the amazing price of £10 so I thought that i'd tell you about it. The game was released with the Nintendo 64, three years ago but is still a great game ( one of the best driving games on the 64). For any of you who remember the old F-ZERO on the SuperNes which is a classic then this game is F-ZERO 2 as to ... Read the complete review

Goldeneye is an excellent game the graphics are not as good as many other Rare games but the gameplay is better than in any other game ever. It is well based on the film with every level related to some part of the film. The multiplayer is even better than the single player option. You're able to choose what type of game you want to play what ... Read the complete review

Mario Cart for Super Nes. got to be one of the all time games all though everyone else used to kick my butt at it. I loved it. I never owned a Snes instead I opted for the big rival Megadrive by Sega. I still loved Mario Cart even though I did not own one. There was another great game for the snes which was a Japanese game about two characters ... Read the complete review

The N64 has been on the market since 1996 (I think) and ever since its beginning it has been repeatedly accused of being a children's platform - one that can not match the Playstation for adult entertainment. Of course I have noticed that Nintendo are a lot stricter when releasing games with adult material but this does not necessarily mean ... Read the complete review

When I bought my 64 it was at the time the Playstation was all the rage, and I wanted one of those. The shops were bare, and as it was my kids birthday the very next day, I bought a 64, 3 games, extra controller and memory pak all for the princely sum of about £270!!! At first I was reluctant to even consider the merits of the ... Read the complete review

N64 is old. It uses large, expensive cartirages. Another bad thing about it is that it dosen't tale advantage of is graphical ability. I have seen many psx games look better that many n64 games. Nentendo brags about thier system having such a graphical advantage over ps, but it dosen't show that(well it does in 4 games). One big advantage ... Read the complete review

Simple. Nintendo chose cartridges for their next-generation console for only one reason - because Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario 64, said a CD's loading times were too high for Mario 64. Bad idea. Cartridges suck. Even in its old age, N64 carts average around £50 whereas new Playstation games are only £30 or £25. The same as an ... Read the complete review

Nintendo did have a reputation for good consoles. Until this came out. The continued the cartridge theme from the SNES and it didn't pay off. There haven't been a huge number of games available for it, because cartridges are expensive to produce. Of the games that are made, alot of them are poor. Nintendo's (up till recently) poor ... When I was young the word Nintendo was big part of my life. The Nintendo NES or Famicom as called in Europe (I think) was synonymous has the word video games. It dominated me in a sense that because for me it was a new thing. The system was a new is something I have never used before. When the Nintendo 64 came however it was a disappointment. The ... I think that The Nintendo 64 has bad games except for the following exceptions. Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Mario Cart. All three of these are mutiplayer games and are great entertainment for a group of four mates. All of them are addictive and great fun. The four player format on this console would be the only reason I would buy it. The one ... Read the complete review

The N64 is losing in the battle between SEGA,Sony and Nintendo, but has nothing to worry about.Firstly SEGA have lost money in the past four years and Nintendo has Pokemon,Shiguru Miyamoto and that great company RARE by their sides. The N64 has brought us some of the best games we have seen in the past 10 years with some of the most memorable ... As far as i'm concerned, the N64 is a big waste of time. It has terrible games the are all cartoon rip-offs and has never had a decent game on it. The games come on cartridges!!?? Cartridges are well old, back in the 80's and 90's! It is a 64 bit system and has trouble being better than the Playstation which is only 32bit. ... Read the complete review

The Nintendo 64 has been around since 1st March 1997. It was launched at the very expensive price of £249.99, with the three games which came with it being priced at £60! However, at the time it was the most technologically advanced console, and introduced many exciting new features which had never been seen on any home console before. ... Read the complete review

Of all of the consoles that I currently own, it is the Nintendo 64 that reigns supreme as the king of the hill. The Nintendo 64 has simply never realized its potential and now looms as the largest mediocrity in Nintendo history. "Quality over quantity" was Nintendo of America's ex-president Howard Lincoln was repeatedly quoted as saying, and this mantra, while well-intentioned, was one of several flaws that sealed the fate of the system as ... Before the 32bit era my favourate console was PC-Engine and Snes, i was dying to see the next generation machine of both consoles, The Snes had some truly excellent titles, Contra 3, Mariokart, Streetfighter 2(This is the game where i would miss school nearly all the time for), and even more great titles.
