I'm really glad that I opted for a Wii rather than an x-box 360 as I like the fact that the Wii has a rather unique gaming experience I bought mine back in May from Amazon and it cost £179.00 and with that I got Wii Sports as part of the package, you also get one controller however it is best to buy a second one at the same time as a lot of the games are more fun in two player mode.

The set up was easy once I had opened everything up, the only thing that took any time was configuring the second controller to the game, you will need somewhere to mount the receiver on your TV as there are no wires with a Wii controller as some of the actions and movements are made by your movement of the controller.

For example when playing tennis the controlle acts as your racquet and you swing it pretty much like the real thing, the only time you press a button is to begin the service action or to move through the options when a game is completed.

You can personalise your playing characters on some of the games and store these for future use. I lov teh fact that this is a more active form of game playing, you do need space to move in and you do have to be careful that you take rests to avoid sore wrists and arms, you also need to use the wrist strap on the controller to avoid flying controllers.

Visually the images are not as sharp as on other gaming platforms but it is pretty quick to load and so far the handful of games I have played have been great fun although some can be a little easy.

Theer is an online option but I have not used this. Overall a great purchase and one I'm pleased with.

Summary: Fun gaming with a difference.
