Advantages: Super fun, good controls

Disadvantages: could do with component cable as standard.

The nintendo Wii was a present to myself when I woke up to find it snowing one day, and didn't have anything to do. Let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed. I'm a 23 year old man, and I haven't had as much fun as this since I was a lot younger.

The wii comes with a scart cable as standard, which is one of the very few negatives about this console, however buying a component cable for about ten pounds sorted this problem, and increased the picture quality greatly.

The new control method on the wii is a two part controller, cosisting of the Wiimote, and Nunchuck. When i first heard about this, i was worried that it would take too long to get used to, but it feels so natural.

The build quality of the machine looks good, so as long as I use the wrist strap, I can't see myself throwing a remote through my tv.

Summary: Good fun if you've got the time to use it
