Advantages: Control system
Disadvantages: no good games
I bought one of these over the christmas period last year being sucked in by the poor availablility making me want it more. I must say now though that this is one extremely overhyped piece of kit.
Its great when you first get it and it comes complete the Wii Sports (the greatest game available for it to date). You will certainly have hours and hours of fun with your friends and family trying to better your scores etc.
After a while though you will eventually want to move on to a different game. Even then it will still be quite fun with a few games holding your attention briefly due to the gimmicky nature of the games.
Evantually you will realise though that there are no games with any kind of substance and immersion to play. And as good as the consolse is, there is literally maybe 3 good games for it. They just pile the same broken generic sports games out week in week out.
Summary: It will hold your attention for a little while, but it will gather dust

- 27/12/08 There are lots of good games for gamers; unfortunately they are just blocked out by all the rubbish mini game ones. The Resident Evils, Tomb Raiders, Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, Zelda, Call of Duty, Red Steel and then Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing etc. etc. are all good games with a storyline. |
