Advantages: Great experience for all the family.

The Nintendo Wii is one of computing games best inventions. My son got one for christmas and it's not stopped being used by the whole family. The console doesn't have any wires, which is great as you can play from anywhere in the room. The console itself is tiny so can fit into any space. You can purchase lots of different types of controls all at reasonable prices if you shop online. For example, when playing golf you can attach a golf club to your remote, or for boxing you can purchse boxing gloves - put your controls inside them and box away - it really is realistic.
The games for this console are a bit on the expensive side, although again, if you shop around you can pick them up in sales etc. They have a wide variety of games and even the one player games still require you to be up on your feet. You can get the old favourites of Mario and Sonic or new titles such as Ben 10 for the kids.
The quality of the effects on these games are really inbelieveable and help in making the experience more realistic.
This console has helpe us to get our son out of his room on his older consoles and up and doing a bit of exercise whilst still playing.
Although I wouldn't normally recommend another console for kids, I have to admit that this one is definately worth purchasing.
