Advantages: Good simple games with fun for families and friends

I bought my wii console for £150 as a bundle package with wii fit plus board, wii sports, controller and numbchuck from blockbusters. The wii is compact, untintrusive looking and it comes with a stand so you can have it set up horizontal or vertical. Very easy to set up with simple instructions, I was playing within half an hour. The wii is very much a console for the family and friends to join in with. Most games seem to be easy to play, although some techniques take a bit of getting used to at the start. The games are easy to dip in and out of, whereas with some other more high tech games you seem to be playing for ages before really getting anywhere; which I assume would be good for kids. I think this console is ideal for those with children as most kids want a console and at least with this one families can join in and the children are not glued to the sofa! There are a very wide range of games and of course there are the fitness games too. The only downside really is the quality of graphics, they are a million miles away from other consoles.
