Nintendo. The simple use of the brand name sends Ideas racing to my imaginative brain. They have made plenty of Handheld consoles over the years but to me nothing has ever beaten there "TV Consoles". Nintendo 64,Nintendo NES and ofcourse the Gamecube. They have always topped said market.Thats why when I heard about them releasing a new games console Codenamed "Reveloution" I had to have one,and quickly!
So on the day they came out I nipped to my local Tesco store and bought the Nintendo Wii. I hadn't really read up on this console but I new it's basic features. So when I picked it up I raced home to get it out the box to see my new Gadget! When I first opened up the box to be greated with a Brand spanking new shiny white console I feel in love.
I can remember the first night it came out playing out for ages,hours upon end with the family gathered in my dads living room we would play each other at Wii Sports bowling. If you got a turkey (3 Strikes in a row you had to dance up and down the street in the pitch-black like a God Dam bird ,that added alot of comedy to the situation.
As the years have gone by new games have been released by new publishers all improving the users experience with the console. The graphics are good on this console but it depends on what games your going to play . Now though in my own opinion the Graphics are nothing compared to the graphics you would get on consoles such as the Microsoft Xbox 360 or Sony's Playstation 3 but never the less it's not terrible!
With the built in App store or Wii channel as it's called you are never short of games to buy and play or download for free. Although when the BBC iPlayer was first released to the system I thought it would be a good feature but it seems very poor now compared to other systems.
Overall I would recommend the Wii to familys with Young children but even if you don't have a family the Wii may be a cheap alternative for a New gaming console and with the New Highly anticipated Wii U coming some time in 2012 it can only be a brighter future for Nintendo here on in words!
