The Playstation 2 has many functions to it, you can get it in Jet Black, which I have it in, or you can get it in Silver, which looks way much better, but it is very rare to find. I have many games for this console, over 30. My newest ones are, Dynasty Warriors 3, Timesplitters 2, Enter the Matrix and Shadow Memories. They all are great games, but out of them, I have enjoyed Enter The Matrix or Dynasty Warriors 3 more. I have written a review on both of these games, if you would like to check it out after this review. Dynasty Warriors 3 is about, you’re a general, of an army, and you send them into battle, while other generals speak to you, and help you out with their armies, there are 3 main clans, which when together are called the HAN.

Enter The Matrix is about, you are going along the story of Niobe and Ghost, how do they get into this etc etc, and you get to have fun in the Matrix itself. Shadow Memories is about, you are a civilian that gets killed by an assassin and you get a chance to change your destiny, by being able to travel back in time, so you can find clues, or are able to stop the assassin from killing you. Very good game, very good game indeed.

The Playstation 2 has three buttons, the two on the front of the machine are the put on standby button, and the other one is the eject button. The one on the back is the Switch on and off button, but I just leave my Playstation 2 on standby. The graphics capability is great; it’s like the XBOX, but not as smooth. Looks like real humans, especially the Final Fantasy Games, they are great graphics, and only a good machine can take them.

The Sound Capability is also good, you can change the languages at the beginning of the game, if not, go to their options, and then you should be able to. There are many features to this console, you can listen to music, by just putting a music CD into the CD Drive. You can also watch DVD's with this, but it doesn’t have as much quality then a proper DVD machine has, but it still is good. You can go on the internet, only if you buy the internet uplink, which costs around £40 - £80 depending where you get it from, you can roughly do what you did with the XBOX, play with your friends, with games that have Internet available, like Final Fantasy XI, that’s going to be just Internet, and you get to create your own character, and you go around fighting your friends characters, and you can ally to defeat enemies and bosses, sounds really cool.

The Playstation 2 is very easy to use, not as simple at the XBOX, but still easy to use, all you have to do to turn it on is switch the back switch, if that’s already done, then just turn it on with the standby button or the eject button. You install the Plasystation 2 by plugging it in to your nearest plug socket, and then with the three wires you've got, you connect them to the front of your TV, or connect them to a scart lead, and plug it into your scart socket. The Instruction Manual is very useful, it takes you step by step about how to use the Playstation 2 and how to install, what features it has. It will also have some support links on the back of the manual, and phone numbers if anything goes wrong.

The Price of the Playstation 2 is around £100 - £140 depending where you get it from. I got my Playstation 2 for Christmas so I don’t know how much it cost, you can go on a website like www.game.net, the same site I got my XBOX from. I got two games with the Playstation 2 when I got it from Christmas; this was a few years ago. I share this console with my brother, so one game was his, I had Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec and my brother has Red Faction, two good games.

I recommend you to buy this console if you have not already, there are loads of games that you can buy for it, loads of unique ones also (as I mean unique, I mean that it is not on any other console), If you decide to get this console, have fun with it, I sure did.

My opinion on this would be, I had loads of fun on this console, I liked played it everyday, got new games, now that this new shop has opened, which is called Game Station, I now can buy cheap games, that are newish, I got Dynasty Warriors 3, Shadow Of Memories, Enter the Matrix and Timesplitters 2 from there. Games cost normally around £5 - 40 from this shop, so if you have one of these in your local town, then you know where to get the good games from.

I give this a 4 star because I have had many fun moments with this console, and I still do...
