Generally it is a very good video games console. It has features such as DVD and CD playing so it can be used instead of a DVD player saving money on unnecessary extra electrical technology. It can also play games designed for its predecessor-the Playstation or PS1. This means that upgrading will let you already own a host of working games for the new console. The design of the console is also really nice, i like the sleek black box shaped look that they have gone for. It looks much more grown up than that of an ordinary games console. The PS2 also comes with a handful of the ordinary accessories such as guns and steering wheels and pedals, but its also comes with Eyetoy which is a new accessory which includes a camera for motion detection and allows you to interact with the game in a 3D environment (almost), clever stuff. I think this is quite a good games console and when it first came out it was probably the best.
