The Playstation 2 must be one of the most successful games consoles ever made. It combines practicality with endless excitement and entertainment. So, how did Sony get the formular so right? <--Look--> The PS2s black plastic casing and rubber buttons bring it into the 21st century. However, its overall look isn't ... Read the complete review

Generally it is a very good video games console. It has features such as DVD and CD playing so it can be used instead of a DVD player saving money on unnecessary extra electrical technology. It can also play games designed for its predecessor-the Playstation or PS1. This means that upgrading will let you already own a host of working games for the ... Read the complete review

The Play Station 2 is a big upgrade from the PS1. Look: It is a lot bigger and bulkier, but it's more stylish. Features: It has two USB sockets at the front for the eye toy or to plug things in to for charging. Playin Games: the disc loader slide out, unlike the PS1's top loader. The PS2 has these in it ... The PS2 is a lot bigger than the 1, but it can stand on end or flat, it also has an ejectable disc drive, rather than the old pop up tray thing. The PS2 also has the ability to play DVD's rather than just CD's, using the controller to control the DVD. Memory is slightly different in the PS2, it has new 8MB standard memory ... I first received a Playstation 2 as a gift perhaps 5 years ago (roughly) and was immediately impressed by it's greatness. Aesthetics My Playstation comes in a matte black colour. A very dark colour which allows you to hide the console away in a cabinet if you so wish to. There is a large 'PS2' Logo in Blue on the large flat ... Read the complete review

Possibly one of the most revolutionary consoles? Ok ok i'll probably get screamed at by hardcores now, telling me about ataris and stuff, but look at it from my perspective and bear with me. This is my first and only console, so this may be a little biased, but i'm not completely blind to other consoles- i've played on ... Read the complete review

The Sony PlayStation 2 will go down in history as one of the first great games consoles of the new millenium. Sure it took a while to get going as initially prices were high and the number of games was limited, but this often happens with new technology. These days, the number and variety of games for this console is staggering, the quality is ... Read the complete review

I have owned my playstation 2 for about 4 years now and it is still going strong. I thought I would share my views on why I think this is still such a greta console to own. Design - The style of it is the old design not the newer slim one so it is quite a big size but, it has stood me well over the years with no repairs needed ... Read the complete review

Right this is my first ever attempt at writing an opinion on this site. So please be gentle, I hope I don’t disappoint! The Sony Playstation 2 has been one of the premier games consoles on the market for a number of years now. In fact I’m amazed at how old the thing actually is, I must have had mine for several years now. I’m quite ... Read the complete review

I'm not much of a gamer, primarilly because I'm rubbish at it and also because I'm far too stingy to throw all my money on a hunk of plastic with some electrical components inside. I had an old Playstation that I'd got for Christmas years ago and I occassionally would break it out the cupboard it was kept in, play it for half an hour and put it ... Read the complete review

Maybe I’m showing my age here, but I remember one of the first games consoles there was, the Atari 2600, complete with its wood effect case and cartridge games! Since those bygone days many consoles have come and gone with battles being thought between the likes of Sega and Nintendo to be top dog in the world of video gaming. All that has ... I am writing this article to compare the three current-gen consoles, the Nintendo Gamecube, Sony Playstation 2, and Microsoft's Xbox, and hopefully explaining along the way why I chose a certain console as the best. Obviously, it is all down to opinion and this article won't suddenly change a console hater into a fanboy of that console. This is ... Read the complete review

The Playstation 2 has many functions to it, you can get it in Jet Black, which I have it in, or you can get it in Silver, which looks way much better, but it is very rare to find. INTRO This is Sony?s most popular console of all time. The Playstation 2. So why does something less advanced then a game cube or XBOX manage to do so well in comparison?
