Disadvantages: None as far as I can see, after owning one for 2 years.

Brilliant, superb, underrated. These are all words I would use to describe the Playstation 3.

When the next gen (or should we say current gen?) consoles came out, the first thing I got was a Nintendo Wii, and I was pretty happy with it, until I played on my friends PS3. My God.

To start with, the PS3 is the most reliable games console I've ever owned. I've had mine now for over 2 years and have not once had an error, or anything remotely wrong with it. Sony have done a great job in making sure that the system works the way it is supposed to. The system is also the quietest console I've ever heard, without the light on the front at times I've forgotten it's even on.

It has a great range of games, from games like FIFA to games like Metal Gear Solid, there really is something for everyone in the PS3 catalogue.

On top of all this, it's a BluRay player, which helps explain the price. Not only are you getting a games console, you're also getting a BluRay and DVD player.

In all honesty, there is no reason to not get a PS3, I have yet to find anything I don't like about it.

Summary: Get one, you will not regret it.
