This is the currently best games console on the market with a huge range of different games and unique features that none of the other consoles in competition with the PS3 have.

If you want high definition gaming, then this is the console for you. Although you can use this console in standard definition, once you see the picture quality of your games on a high definition TV then you will not want to change back. The picture quality is amazingly clear and that is all down to the powerful PS3 processor. Another great feature is the ability to play Blu Ray discs, which other consoles lack. It is cheaper to buy a PS3 than to buy a Blu Ray player at times of first release.

The games are amazing to play. Included is a bluetooth controller. It is the same design as previous playstation controllers and they were great in the past. With the controller being bluetooth connected to the console, it is goodbye to wires and the range at where the controllers can stay connected is well over 10 metres away. You can connect up to 4 controllers to the machine at once. The controllers themselves have built in rechargeable batteries which last over 5 hours non-stop gaming.

The PS3 can also connect to other bluetooth devices such as keyboards and headsets. This enables people to chat during gaming or over the net. This particular version has a hardrive capacity of 40 GB which is more than enough to store my game data, music files, videos, and photos. However if one runs out of memory they can replace the hardrive with another, which has a higher memory capacity. A negative feature is it's inability to playbck previous playstation 1 and 2 games.

I use my PS3 for a lot of things. I do not regard it as just a games console but more of an elite entertainment system. Of course the main function would be to use it as a games console but I use it for other things such as streaming videos from my laptop to the PS3, so I can watch these video files on my TV. Also I sometimes use it to surf the web. You can access nearly all the web pages on the PS3 that you can using a computer. Other features that are great include linking to your PSP if you have one, Playback of Blu Ray discs, Listening to music and viewing pictures.

I have played lots of games using my PS3 and they have all been in great picture quality. I mostly play online against many other games. There is no extra fee to playing online, just your own broadband connection is required and you can connect wirelessly. You can even use the BBC iplayer with the new firmware.

It does not have many drawbacks. Maybe it is a bit larger than the other consoles but not many would consider appearance to be a major deal breaker. With new games released every week, you will enjoy countless hours of fun from a PS3. It is something that I use almost daily and I would not change it for any other console.
