Sony Playstation 3 80GB (PS3)
As a owner of a Xbox 360 elite, Ninetendo consoles, and all Playstation consoles the PS3 is the best console, It has alot of features to the console,e.g.
Bluray Disc
The highest defination (1080P) DVD's on the market costing from £10 to £50! It looks well on a 37 inch HDTV!
2 USB Ports
2.0 Usb ports placed on the front of the console,For some accessories for the PS3, e.g. Play TV a TV tuner for the PS3 where you can record, Pause, and playback live TV, PS3 eye a Webcam for the PS3 where you can interact with your friends on the Playstation Network(PS3 Online) (PS2 Eyetoy can also be avaliable). Cooling fan, a cooling fan that fits onto the front of the PS3 console. You can also put in some USB Devices including, USB Memory stick, USB Media card Reader, USB hub and many more. The 2 USB ports are also used for charging the PS3 controllers (Dualshock3 or Sixaxis).
Built in WIFI
You can Go onto the internet wireless or you can go on wired (via ethernet port placed on the back of the console). But if you have a Wireless hub in your house you will probably use Wireless internet connection! With WIFI built in you can connect to your Wireless Hub for free unlike Xbox 360 where you have to buy a Wireless Networking adapter for £60! And the internet on the PS3 is free so you can Buy/Download demos games on the Playstation Store. Demos are free!
Remote Play
For the PSP users with WIFI! You can connect your PSP to your PS3 via Internet wirelessly! Using remote play, All you need is a PSP, PS3, Wireless hub and a Internet connection! It works good when you are in bed upstairs or in your garden outside and the PS3 is inside downstairs! So you connect the PSP to PS3 in Seconds and you Play the PS3 on the PSP screen and listen to the Sound via PSP Speakers!
Built in Bluetooth
Works well with Wireless Controller, Bluetooth Headsets, Bluetooth keyboard and many more Bluetooth devices.
There are also many more features to the PS3!
Playstation 3 Games
There are alot of PS3 games to buy for the console, e.g. Need for speed, Little big planet, Grand Theft Auto 4, Call of duty, Mirrors edge, Tiger woods, PES, Fifa and many more
Playstation 3 DualShock 3 Sixaxis Controller
Sold with all the latest PS3 console including 80GB console and 160GB console! It works great on racing games, You can use is as a steering wheel via sixaxis it's motion sensored! And it now vibrates via Dualshock3, The Dualshock 3 controller costs from £30 to £40. The old consoles came with a Sixaxis controller which is exactly the same except for it dont vibrate! The 60GB console, 20GB console and 40GB Console came with the Sixaxis controller!
Ports on the PS3 80GB
There is a AC Power cord on the back of the console with a ON and OFF switch, There is also a Ethernet port, HDMI port, Optical audio port, Standard AV cables port ( RCA cables come with console, Component cables sold seperatly). On the Front of the console there are 2 USB 2.0 ports! (HDMI, Component, Ethernet and Optical Audio cables are sold Seperately)
I really enjoy playing the PS3 espesically Racing games! It cost me £300 with 2 games, 1 bluray and a Bluray remote! In January. So the price is dropping by the minute! I would recommend to buy from game because they give out a 2 year insurance so if your PS3 stops working go down to game store and tell them and they will give you a BRAND NEW PS3 console! it only costs £25 for 2 years! See instore for details or goto www.game.co.uk! The PS3 to me is a Media Centre because you can play Games, Blurays, DVD's, CD's and many other features!
Summary: Great console and Media Centre

- 03/02/09 Welcome to Dooyoo. I know nothing about Bluray or Bluetooth, but they seem to boast the right colour, as does the emblem you have chosen to represent you! And this reads like a good first review. |
