Xbox360, Wii, ps3 - which one should i buy? (Sony Playstation 3 80 GB)
Member Name: D.Weiss
Advantages: 360 has organised online community that can't be beat. Wii is a new & fun style of social gaming. Disadvantages: Ps3 is a lost cause struggling to keep up and angry over their lost market share. I bought a ps3 and it stopped working after only 6 months. Sony's tech-support were incompetent, and unable to be of assistance. Before it stopped working, it wasn't able to go online either due to a common DNS error where it could not detect my internet connection, but could recognize my IP address. I ended up selling my ps3 and buying an Xbox 360 instead. Now I have the 360 & the Wii. Both systems are good. For online gaming in a multiplayer environment, Xbox is by far superior, and for selection of adult games, the same story - the 360 is by far better. The Wii is a new style of gaming and therefor needs to be experienced as well. You need to pay around $50US per year for Xbox live, but you get what you pay for. The online community is organized and it works. Sony claims the blueray player will be what saves the ps3 in the long run. I doubt it. In 5 years, most movies will have been acquired through downloading via broadband cables, not by discs. Blueray is a lost cause. I rank the consoles i've played as 1- Xbox360 2-Wii 3-ps3. I strongly suggest to anyone considering buying a system to ignore all blueray hype, and go with a professional system. The new model 360's, with the Jasper chips, have solved the 'red ring of death' issues almost completely, so all the previous megaton of criticism towards the 360 is no longer accurate. Xbox 360 IS THE BEST gaming console on the market to date. Period. That is a 100% unbiased, experience-based review. Summary: Xbox 360 is the best, followed not too far by the Wii. The Ps3 is a distant 3rd. |
