Advantages: Blue Ray, free on line gaming,

Disadvantages: Too large

I purchased this console nearly a year ago now, upgrade from my PS2. There were three main reasons why I chose this console over the X-box 360, one was that it had blue ray playback, this was a must for me and saves me from purchasing a separate blue ray player.

The second feature was that I am a massive fan of Metal Gear Solid, MGS4 is exclusive to the PS3. Finally, what really set it apart from the x-box is that online gaming is free (you have to pay for your own connection) where as with the X-box you have to pay a yearly subscription.

As it is blue ray the games can be played at 1080p as long as the game was made with that capacity and your tv supports it. The joypads are also wireless, which is absolutely great no more messy wires everywhere in the house.

There is so much that can be done with the PS3 , such as using the internet, making your own photo album.

The only problem I have with is that cosmetically it is far too big, I mean it looks like a bread bin and that there are not as many games as x-box, but that is improving.

Summary: Brilliant value for money
