Playstation 3 - a bit too good for its own good? (Sony Playstation 3 80 GB)

Playstation 3 - I'm glad I've got one, it was a very generous gift a few years ago now.... BUT, I'm not sure if I would have brought one back then now that I've had the experience of owning one a while.

Don't get me wrong, its an extremely impressive piece of kit, both in appearance and features/performance.

The thing that holds me back from whole heartedly recommending is that I just don't if I, or the average person for that matter, uses it enough to warrant the expense.

If you are something are of a video game enthusiast then no doubt you will be playing games most days and making full use of the system's capabilities. This, of course, comes with more cost in the form of games prices, which aren't cheap unless you plump for older releases.

I use mine mainly for watching Blu-Ray discs and upscaling DVDs - this makes watching films on a big TV a much more involving experience. I also play one particular game fairly often. But apart from that, the level of use is quite low given the multitude of other things there are to do in the day!

Summary: Recommended - but only really if you've got the time to make full use of it!
