Advantages: Free online gameplay, Larger disk space for games, six axis controller, you get it all not just some

Disadvantages: You have to buy it whole not like Xbox360

The PlayStation 3 An extremely good console which has fell pray to the Xbox360 Sales tactics which has undermined its Ratings which has made it massively underrated and has given it the appearance of it being a expensive console when its not true.

First things first cost -
Okay the PlayStation 3 seems to be far more expensive than the Xbox360 when it is not the reason the PS3 seems so expensive is because the Xbox360 pulled there console apart making it seem cheaper when it isn't when you buy the ps3 you buy the console in all its glory as to speak with the hard-drive built in wireless and free internet game-play (excluding paying the internet bill of course) the Xbox360 on the other hand sells its console separate yet if you want the same quality you will have to pay the original price console £170 wireless adapter £50 and a year online membership £35 making it a total of £255 the latest Ps3 console costs £255 pounds so the price is the same you just cant buy it piece by piece that's all you also need to add the recurring £35 for Xbox360 live you also need to spend £10 on a chargeable battery which ups the price even more so in reality the Xbox360 is more expensive but gives the option to buy separate parts but in the long run more expensive.

Secondly -
Games for the Ps3 are more expensive but your more safe with the Ps3 the Xbox360 can only play regular disks with a limit of about 5GB so when there games start hitting the disks limit were do you think they will turn, that's right to Blue-ray meaning they will either bring out a new blue-ray player for the Xbox360 which you will have to buy or just bring out a new console with little changes but to the blue-ray player making the original Xbox360 useless, when that happens the Ps3 owners are safe since they can just keep buying games as normal whilst Xbox360 users will have to buy Another piece of hardware or another console then pay the same price for the games as the Ps3 so don't get suckered in by cheaper games it will highly likely bite you in the end.

Gameplay -
Graphics for the ps3 is really at conflict with Xbox360 some saying better some worse its up to you to decide but game-play for the Ps3 is better for the fact that they have a whole 25GB (only one blue-ray layer) to use so you get more whilst the Xbox360 has only 5GB disk space, there also the Six Axis for the controller which makes the games more fun (such as a Driving game you can use the pad as a steering wheel) you also don't have to worry about your online subscription that might need renewing like Xbox360.

Breakdown -
Breakdowns for the Ps3 are extremely low going to the percentage of about 0.5% the Xbox360 is ranging at 25% so in all the Ps3 is a much safer console which isn't prone to over heating or re-eye ETC

Design -
Some people say the Ps3 isn't as good because its heavy and bit but does it really matter do you play the games while you hold the Ps3 or looking at the console while playing so in the end it doesn't matter.

In all the Ps3 is a much safer console more fun is a matter of opinion but certainly better for the long haul you have to buy everything in one purchase but it depends if you can wait.
