The relatively new Play Station 3 is the ultimate gaming experience. Many people settle for the Xbox and then claim it is better, but that just isn't true. I have personally owned both consoles and there is no comparison between them. The Play Station has better graphics, better games (with the exception of halo, which is the only attractive thing about the Xbox) and just looks so much nicer. The Play Station 3 also comes a built in blu-ray player which is very handy, not to mention it takes up less space as you don't have both systems. Compared to the Xbox the Play Station has better controllers by far. They look nicer, easier to use and are a perfect size to fit your hand. You may think the controller is a very insignificant point but to me, and I'm sure a few others, it actually a very big factor in buying a games console. This advertised Play Station 3 has 80GB worth on memory, which is a pretty amazing amount (for example, compare that with your iPod). This large amount of memory means more gaming without the worry of having to delete some saved progress in a game that you don't want to. The Play Station can also store music, play normal DVDs and connect with the internet (as well as Play Station Network which is the equivalent to Xbox live). All this comes at a price though and a large one at that, the PS3 costs a great deal more than the Xbox. The reason I payed so much money for it was that it makes up for it in quality. Overall the Play Station 3 is perfect for someone who likes to play computer games, as long as you are willing to pay a bit extra.
