Advantages: The power and neat design

I am not here to bore you with technical specifications for the Sony Playstation 3 that you can find anywhere on the internet. What I am here to do is to tell you just how pleased I am that I traded in my Xbox 360 for the Sony PS3 when it was first launched.

Sure there aren't many noticeable differences, and many of the titles that come out for the PS3 are available on the Xbox 360 too, but I just got the sense, having had the PS1 and PS2 that Sony were gearing up for something special and that, in my opinion is the PS3.

The console never has any reliability issues that have dogged the 360 and the design of the console also lends itself to fitting in with the style of lots of living rooms. The accessability features are superb with wi-fi already available (no need for an extra £50 purchase like the 360) and the 4 USB 2.0 ports on the front offer more than enough portability. The 60gb harddrive bundled with this console means you should never need to add extra space.

Regular updates from Sony are downloadable at regular intervals and these have made massive improvements over the years already and these include things like the Sony Store and the ability play lots of video files that were not possible at launch.

More improvements are expected in the near future.

Summary: The PS3 is the best console on the market. Enough said.
