On behalf of my other half - the best console hes ever bought! After many months of saying it was too expensive for a console and it looks ugly!! He eventually bought one after so many good reviews! He bought the 60GB playstion 3 from playtime for £350!!
Why spend that on a console? Well I'm about too tell you...

Firstly, the look of the console at first you would say is rather huge and ugly! It is like a curve which you can stand upright or lay flat. its not exactly a discreet console as it takes up the whole of my shelf! After a while you get used too it and it becomes more of a feature rather then a ugly lump!
The playstation 3 has many fabulous features including the major ones; online gaming service, its multimedia capabilities, its use of a HD disc format, Blue - Ray Disc and bluetooth.

(A blue-ray disk player alone is around £300!)
It was first available as 20Gb hardrive or a preimum model of 60Gb hardrive with several additional features. These include, silver chrome trim, multiple flash card readers and internmal wifi.

The playstaion 3 isnt just a standard games console, you can also do alot of other things. You can make and store different user profiles, Play and explore & copy music, pictures and videos. The playstation network allows you too do online shopping on the playstation store. You can browse the internet and add a keyboard and mouse by bluetooth or USB, so you get a feel like its a computer.
You can also hook windows media player off your desktop computer onto the playstation 3 by wifi and listen watch and look at all your folders and things on your normal computer.

Online gaming on the playstation is a fab new way of competeing on the internet! Its great fun too play with all different people all over the world for free!!
The graphics on the ps3 are truely amazing!! The games are lifelike and you really get into the games and its like your really there! the playstation 3 is a really good console with several different features and is close enough too be just like a computer but better!!

It has many yses therefore definatly worth the money!I would recommend to everybody!!
