Advantages: Can take absolutely any where

Disadvantages: condensed version of games

The psp is a great console for taking out and about you can get pretty much all the latest games on this console, my only criticism about the games is that some of the games are released in a condensed version and so dont have all the features of the larger consoles for example The Godfather on the ps2 allows you to drive between missions and on the psp it does not allow you to do this which takes some of the fun away from the game.
You can also watch UMD films on the psp and there are a lot of titles available the films are brilliant quality and you can pick them up for quite a good price second hand.
The battery seems to last quite a long time on the psp which is always a v.good feature i played on mine for about 3 hours each day and only had to charge it after a weeks worth of usage.
The psp is nice and light and you can get a really good carry case from playstation for it which holds 6 games/umds and the console it also has padded sides so if you do drop it, it is a lot more likely to survive!

Summary: Best hand held console out there!
